Vestiaire Collective, a buying and reselling platform for designer goods and clothing, has banned a new set of clothing retailer stores to promote alternatives to fast fashion. Last year, Vestiaire banned Asos, Boohoo, Missguided, Pretty Little Thing, Shein, and more. Recently, they have decided to ban Gap, Uniqlo, Urban Outfitters, Zara, and more after guidance from industry experts Orsola de Castro and Eva Kruse; both are involved in the sustainable fashion industry. The framework for defining what fast fashion was low price point, intense renewal rate, wide product range size, speed to market, and strong promotion intensity.
